Eucharistic Ministers take Holy Communion to parishioners who are ill or otherwise unable to attend Mass. If you know of someone who would like a home visit, please contact us.

🤝 Bereavement Care
The Ministry of Consolation in the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton provides personal contact, warmth, and support for people who are bereaved or dying. Whether sitting and listening, praying together, celebrating the life of a loved one, or sharing a cup of tea and a moment of quiet, trained volunteers are available.

🌍 CAFOD
CAFOD is the official overseas aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales, part of Caritas Internationalis. CAFOD inspires people to raise money, petition politicians, and pray so that together we can support communities in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East striving for practical, sustainable solutions to deep-rooted challenges.

🌱 Fairtrade
Fairtrade is a global movement advocating for fair prices, decent working conditions, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in developing nations. Our parish supports this movement through regular sales of Fairtrade goods.

🛒 Foodbanks
Worth Abbey Parish supports local food banks run by the Trussell Trust. For many families facing sudden hardship, redundancy, or unexpected expenses, non-perishable food collections provide vital support.
📦 How to Donate: Non-perishable food donations for the Crawley SVP and Haywards Heath Foodbank can be left in the collection bin inside the Parish Office porch or in the baskets placed out before the 5.00pm Saturday Vigil Mass and 9.30am Sunday Mass.
💙 Gatwick Detainees Welfare Group (GDWG)
GDWG is a registered charity providing emotional and practical support through volunteer visitors to asylum seekers and immigration detainees held at Tinsley House and Brook House removal centres near Gatwick Airport.

🏡 Refugee Welcome Crawley (RWC)
RWC is a volunteer-run registered charity offering practical assistance and a warm welcome to refugees and asylum seekers in Crawley. They support men, women, and families seeking sanctuary from nations including Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Sudan, Eritrea, and Ukraine. Parishioners support RWC through financial gifts, essential goods, and volunteering.

Worth Pro-Earth helps Worth Abbey Parish put Pope Francis’s vision in Laudato Si’ into practice by caring for our common home. The group shares practical environmental advice through a monthly newsletter and organizes events throughout the year to raise awareness and inspire action.
