🎉 Save the Date: Sunday 13 July – Worth Abbey Parish Turns 60! 🎉
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of our Parish, and we’d love for you to celebrate with us! Join us for Mass at 9:30am, followed by a celebration filled with food, fun and community spirit. After Mass, we’ll head over to St Bruno’s Garden where we’ll have classic family games and light-hearted sports for children – and the young-at-heart (you know who you are!)
Then, instead of our usual Parish Picnic, we’re going global! We’re planning an International Lunch, and we invite you to bring a dish from your country of origin, or perhaps from a country (or UK county!) you’ve lived in or loved. Whether it’s a Polish pierogi, a homemade Scotch egg, a Filipino lumpia or a lovely Victoria sponge – let’s break bread (or naan or brioche) together as one Parish family!
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers, whether you are a dab hand in the kitchen or just love hosting a good gathering. We will also be collecting names of those attending and the dishes you’d like to bring. More details coming next week in In Touch – but for now, dust off your sun hats and party spirit… and get ready to celebrate 60 wonderful years of parish community life at Worth!
