Throughout the year The Open Cloister at Worth Abbey offers a series of retreats for young adults, providing space and time where they can step away from everyday life and explore their spirituality with the guidance of the Benedictine monastic community in a calm and supportive environment.
1st – 3rd December 2017 (18 – 35 year olds)
A weekend of faith sharing and exploration, led by The Wellspring Community and Worth Abbey’s The Open Cloister
An opportunity to enter more deeply into the faith and to explore the person of Jesus Christ. The retreat will offer the chance of encounter with Christ in prayer through the Benedictine monastic tradition, with space for reflection, participation in the rhythm of prayer with the monastic community (The Divine Office) and Lectio Divina, walks in the beautiful Sussex countryside, and time for building community and relationships.

Joel’s Bar is the youth conference of Celebrate – Catholic Charismatic events that happen throughout the year. Joel’s Bar is back once again at Worth Abbey for Easter 2018 from 1st -6th April. Through a timetable of speakers, worship, Mass, prayer with the monks and times of ministry JB provides space for relationship, fellowship and faith coming to life.
