Parish Events Group

The objective of the Parish Events Group is to create occasions for parishioners of all ages to meet in a social environment where they can get to know each other better and form lasting relationships.

Events to date have included a barn dance, trips to Le Touquet and Boulogne, summer picnics, a murder mystery evening, a jazz evening with supper and a theatre trip. Most recently there has been a visit to Penshurst Place in Kent in May 2011.

Penshurst Place,  20th May 2011

On 20th May a select group of parishioners had a wonderful guided tour by Trish Evans of the house and gardens of  Penshurst Place in Kent. The house (the family home of the Sidney family and still lived in by Viscount de l'Isle) was magnificent and we were fortunate enough to see the spectacular peony border in full bloom. Following the tour there was an optional light lunch whilst others brought a picnic and some went into the village for a delicious cream tea. What a wonderful way to spend a Friday!
