Love in a Box

Horsham and Crawley YMCA are asking for your help for their Love in a Box scheme for young homeless people. The aim of Love in a Box is to ensure that every young person living in YMCA supported housing projects has a present to open on Christmas morning. This may be all they receive on Christmas Day and the kindness of strangers has a powerful impact on them.

They ask if you can use the term male and female rather than girl and boy to label the boxes. There are proportionately more boys at the centres.

Ideas for your box (new and unused items only): vouchers (supermarket, cinema), food items (hampers), toiletries, make up, DVDs, jewellery, sweets and chocolates,  socks, hats, gloves, scarves, small games and gadgets, board games, mugs, stationery, books, comics. (For health and safety reasons we cannot accept candles, razors, scissors, alcohol, cigarettes).
