Dates for Your Diary, October – November 2018

This October, theASCENT will be launching at Worth Abbey with the support of the diocese. theASCENT is a three-year discipleship process involving three residential weekends a year, monthly mentoring and weekly online group sessions. It is designed for young people in years 10 – 12 and is designed to take people with a real interest in their faith, helping them to make a deeper commitment and to explore who God created them to be, at the same time as making new friends and having some fun.

All Saints Day 2018

There will be a Vigil Mass at 7.30 pm on the 31st October and on the 1st November Masses will be at 8.00 am and at 4.45 pm with the School.

 

 

The Big Encounter 2018 – Festival for 16-35s

The annual festival for 16-35 year olds is happening in the Performing Arts Centre (Worth Abbey) on Saturday, 10th November. It is open to any age group and there will be an amazing line-up. The Youth 2000 Worship Band will be leading the music and Bryony Wells will be the keynote speaker. Bishop Richard Moth will also be there. This is the second annual Big Encounter and a few hundred people are expected to attend, so spread the word. Entry is free, and you don’t need to book.
