Ben Rogers will be giving a talk entitled ‘Repression of Freedom, Religious Persecution and Crimes Against Humanity in Asia: Stories from the Front Line’. Ben is a human rights activist and writer. As East Asia Team Leader at Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW), he specialises in Burma, Indonesia, Malaysia, North Korea and China. In addition to his work with CSW, he is also co-founder and Chair of a new advocacy organisation called Hong Kong Watch, co-founder and Deputy Chair of the Conservative Human Rights Commission and Senior Fellow at the Religious Freedom Institute. Join well-known Sussex choir, The Copthorne Consort for a spectacular evening to celebrate 50 years of Worth Abbey in Peru. The evening’s programme will present an exciting programme of music by some well-known composers such as Faure, Mendelssohn and Vaughan Williams and also some modern composers, who will be in attendance.
Free entry with a retiring collection in aid of the Ayacucho Children’s Home, a splendid raffle provided by the Consort and a drinks reception following the concert.
