There will be a free exhibition of paintings by John Bateson-Hill, a friend of the Monastic Community, in the Unity Room on the weekend of the 1st/2nd June. John has previously exhibited at Dulwich Art Gallery and Chelsea Art Show. Typically, he likes to use bright and vivid coloured imagery for both religious and secular themes and takes his inspiration from artists such as Fra Angelico, Rembrandt, Samuel Palmer, William Blake, Henri Matisse and Vincent Van Gogh. John will be present throughout the exhibition to answer your questions about his work.
The exhibition is open on Saturday from 9.30 am to 7.00 pm and on Sunday from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm and 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm. Prints, originals and cards will be for sale.
Refreshments following the 5.00 pm Vigil Mass on the 1st and coffee after the 9.30 am Sunday Mass on the 2nd will be served in the Unity Room.
